EVENTS POLICY
The Small Town Social®
Monthly Socials
These ladies-only events are FREE once per month but require sign-up via email. Please visit our event listings for updates and to sign up. Event capacity ranges based on the venue but is typically capped at 20-35 women per event. Updates are posted on the event listings page once a social reaches capacity. Sign-up is required to attend free monthly socials. If you can no longer attend an event you registered for, please contact hello@thesmalltownsocial.com as soon as possible.
Workshops and Conferences
Workshops and conferences, like GLOWCON, require pre-registration and payment in-full in order to attend. Tickets for paid events are non-refundable and non-transferrable for planning purposes. You are not allowed to sell or give your ticket away to another person in your absence. If you can no longer attend an event you registered for, please contact hello@thesmalltownsocial.com as soon as possible to let us know.
No Show Policy
The Small Town Social® relies on sign-ups for our free and paid events, which helps us to best plan for our programs and accommodate both our guests and venues to the best of our ability. We take sign-ups seriously. Therefore, we operate on a three-strike policy: If you sign up for an event and don’t show up three consecutive times, without notifying hello@thesmalltownsocial.com in advance, then you will not be allowed to register for future events. If you can no longer attend an event you signed up for, please contact hello@thesmalltownsocial.com as soon as possible.
No Soliciting
The Small Town Social is for women from all walks of life and, because of that, our mission is to remain politically unbiased as a business entity to preserve the integrity of the group. If your business or project comes up naturally in one-on-one discussions during our events, that's fine (our work and passions usually do!) but, we do not allow petitioning, signature requests, passing out flyers, soliciting, advertising, poaching, or recruiting of our guests in any fashion.
Refund Policy
Refunds for paid events are not available as we need to purchase materials and products, and confirm meals and seating with the venue in which an event is being held well in advance of it taking place so please be sure of YOUR financial situation and YOUR schedule prior to purchase. If you can no longer attend an event you registered for, please contact hello@thesmalltownsocial.com as soon as possible. Tickets for paid events that you are no longer able to attend are non-refundable and non-transferrable for planning purposes.
If you have any questions or concerns, or if there is anything we can do to make your experience a more pleasant one, please email Elisabeth at hello@thesmalltownsocial.com. For more information, please reference our Terms and Conditions.
Program Cancellation Policy
In the event that a program is canceled, The Small Town Social® will contact registrants who provided a phone number or e-mail at the time of registration. There also will be a notice on the website announcing the cancellation. If you have registered for a program that has been canceled, you may elect to receive a full refund or choose to use your registration fee as a credit toward a future program. Registration fees will be refunded within 30 business days after a program has been canceled.
